Our 19th Honor Flight is coming up, so we are taking time to reflect and remind ourselves why we participate in Stars and Stripes Honor Flight (SSHF).
We continually recognize that it’s not about us and our music on Honor Flight days: It is about seeing history beyond our school textbooks and meeting veterans in person, looking them in the eyes and shaking their hands to honor them for their service. It is about honoring those who have served in the past and those who currently serve to maintain the freedom we have today.
Thank you SSHF for giving us, spouses and families of veterans, and many others in the community the opportunity to honor thousands of America’s veterans. 🇺🇲
